Umrao Jaan is a Hindi drama film directed by Muzaffar Ali. It was released in the year 1976. Starring Hema Malini, Ajit, Pran, Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi Umarao Jaan is an Indian movie which features the tale of a singer in 19th century India who told histories about Mughal emperors to help her keep family alive.
